The numbers you type into the calculators
Every calculator on this site runs entirely in your browser. Your salary, EPF balance, loan amount, property price — none of it is sent to a server we control. When you press "Share my calculation", your inputs are encoded into the URL itself; we never receive that URL unless you paste it back into a form on this site (which we don't have).
If you close the tab, the inputs are gone. There is no account, no signup, and no email gate.
What we do collect, automatically
Like most websites, our hosting platform (Cloudflare Pages) records standard server logs: IP address, user agent, the page you requested, the page you came from. We use these to detect abuse and to fix broken pages — not to identify individuals. Logs are retained for 30 days then discarded.
We use a privacy-respecting analytics tool (Plausible Analytics or self-hosted Umami) that records aggregate page views and referrers without setting cookies, fingerprinting, or sending data to advertising networks. No personal information is collected by our analytics.
Third-party advertising (Google AdSense)
This site displays advertisements served by Google AdSense and may use Google AdSense partners. Google and its partners use cookies and similar technologies to:
- Show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Measure the effectiveness of advertising and report on impressions.
- Detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or, for many other vendors, the Network Advertising Initiative opt-out page at optout.networkadvertising.org.
For visitors from the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we use a Google-certified Consent Management Platform to ask for your consent before personalised ads are loaded. You can change your choice at any time by clearing the cookie set by the consent banner.
Affiliate links
Some pages contain links labelled "Sponsored · Affiliate". When you click one and complete an action (e.g., a quote request or product signup), we may receive a commission from the partner. Clicking these links does not change the price you pay. We disclose every affiliate link clearly; we never disguise one as editorial recommendation. See our affiliate disclosure for the full list.
Cookies
We set the minimum cookies necessary to remember:
- Whether you accepted or declined the cookie banner (a small
localStorageentry). - Your preference, if any, for which calculation method to default to.
AdSense and its partners may set additional cookies as described above. You can clear all cookies from your browser at any time without breaking the calculators — they don't depend on any cookie to work.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any information from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy materially, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Substantive changes (e.g., adding a new vendor) will also be noted in our changelog.
